The Sedimentary Basin Analysis (BASAN) research group of the CIM-UVigo offers a contract for predoctoral research personnel to carry out research at the PROJECT: Contribution of marine ecosystem services in protected areas to human well-being, co-financed by the FEMP (EUROPEAN MARITIME AND FISHERIES FUND) within the framework of the “PLEAMAR PROGRAM. BIODIVERSITY FOUNDATION”.

Job description

  • Duration: 2 months, extendable.
  • Place of work: Faculty of Marine Sciences. University of Vigo.
  • Total cost of the contract: 3,270 euros.

Requirements:

General requirements:

  • Be eighteen years old and have not reached the age set for retirement in general.
  • Have functional capacity to carry out the tasks of the requested profile.
  • Not have been separated, through a disciplinary file, from the service of any of the Public Administrations, nor be disabled for the performance of public functions.
  •  Be registered as a job seeker.

Specific requirements:

  • Graduates in Biology, Environmental Sciences or Marine Sciences. The degree must be obtained after 1-1-2017
  • Master in Biodiversity, Sustainable Development or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience in valuing ecosystem services.

Selection process

The selection process will consist of evaluating the CV and the candidate’s experience and abilities, and a personal interview if necessary. It will be resolved by a commission made up with the people in charge of the project.
