The CIM Showcases its Cutting-Edge Research at Navalia

The University of Vigo presented its potential as a key partner for the naval sector at the fair

The Marine Research Centre of the University of Vigo (CIM) is participating alongside atlanTTic and Cintecx at the International Shipbuilding Exhibition, Navalia 2024, which is being held from May 21 to 23 at the Vigo Trade Fair Institute (IFEVI). The event was inaugurated this morning by the President of the Xunta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, who was accompanied by many other authorities, including the Mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero; the Rector of the University of Vigo, Manuel Reigosa; and the President and Director of the fair, José García Costas.

The R&D Office of the University of Vigo are showcasing the knowledge and innovation that the academic institution brings to various fields related to the naval industry at this information booth. Specially that brought by CIM, atlanTTic and Cintex. They aim to demonstrate how they can act as a potential ally for companies in this sector.

Over these days, the CIM will highlight its cutting-edge research at the stand, focusing on sustainable marine resource management, blue biotechnology, coastal engineering, environmental restoration, fluid simulation, and marine energy modelling.
