Leadership
Full Professor at the University of Vigo since 2020. His research lines focus on the diagnosis, prevention and control of parasitic diseases in aquatic organisms. Author of a patent for the diagnosis of Enteromyxum scophthalmi using immunological techniques, one of the main sanitary threats to the production of farmed turbot. He coordinates the Interuniversity Master of Marine Biology and he is currently the ECIMAT director.
