ECIMAT has highly skilled staff and suitable infrastructures to provide organisms in their natural habitat as well as cultures, water, and culture means for research

The Service “Biological Resources and Marine cultures” grows and maintains in stock several species of phytoplankton and zooplankton, with interest for aquaculture (rotifers, artemia, cladocers, copepods, etc.) and has experience in the rearing, maintenance and provision of several species of molluscs (clams, cockles, oysters, etc.) fish (turbot, sole, sea bream, sardine, etc.) and equinoderms (sea urchin, sea cucumber, etc.). Furthermore, the service provides organisms collected in situ, managing all the required permits.

ECIMAT provides water MiliQ, distilled water and filtered seawater (20, 1 and 0.22 micras), sterilization (uv) at several temperatures (13ºC, 18ºC and room temperature).
