Work to be done:
Analysis of hydrometeorological extremes in South America and associated atmospheric dynamics
Functions to be carried out:
- Download data and calculate drought indices (SPEI, SPI) for IPCC regions in South America
- Identify the occurrence of hydrometeorological extremes and attribute the events to natural causal conditions, including atmospheric dynamics on various time scales and moisture transport
Gross monthly remuneration:
€1,740.26 (included or prorated extra payments)

REQUIREMENTS AND MERITS OF CANDIDATES
Required qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree or Degree in Environmental Sciences, Meteorology or Physics
MERITS TO BE ASSESSED:
- Professional experience in universities, public institutions or companies — 40
- Handling of databases (.netcdf, .csv, .grib) and images — 20
- Knowledge of programming in Python and R — 20
- Knowledge of calculation and analysis of agrometeorological indices — 20
