Work to be performed: Research activities in a project on fish nutrition
Duties to be performed: Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the candidate will carry out the following research activities within the project:
- participate in experimental design
- carry out authorized procedures on experimental animals (fish)
- participate in the collection of biological samples
- Participate in the analysis of fish tissue samples using spectrophotometric techniques, electrophoresis, q-RT-PCR, and Western Blot
- participate in the preparation of results and their statistical analysis
- participate in the discussion of results
Gross monthly salary: €2,550.00 (including the prorated extra payments)
Expected start date: From the resolution of this call, on the date established therein

REQUIREMENTS AND MERITS OF CANDIDATES
Required qualifications: Doctorate. Training at levels a/b/c/d/e in the protection of animals used, bred, or supplied for experimental and other scientific purposes, including teaching, in accordance with Order ECC/566/2015 of March 20, or an equivalent national or European certification.
Merits to be considered:
- Proven experience in fish physiology research tasks (minimum 4 years) – 30 points
- Autonomy in molecular biology laboratory techniques and in the determination of enzymatic activities.
Participation in research articles related to the project.
Participation in conference presentations related to the project.
Participation in competitive research projects related to the project.
Research grants/contracts - Personal interview in English. The interview will be conducted only with the top 3 candidates, provided that their total merit score reaches a minimum of 50 points.
