Event for World Aquaculture Day

On the occasion of World Aquaculture Day, CIM’s PhystoFish research group is organizing a session on Friday, December 1, aimed at students of Marine Sciences and related fields, focusing on turbot as a key species in the sector. The session includes a masterclass on physiology and animal welfare, a presentation by Stolt Sea Farm on turbot production in Galicia, and a final showcooking in collaboration with Omichi Ramen & Bar. The goal is to introduce students to applied marine research, showcase professional opportunities in aquaculture, and inspire new scientific vocations in one of the strategic areas for the future of the blue economy.

The activity is aimed at undergraduate students (Biology, Marine Sciences, etc.), master’s students (Aquaculture, Marine Biology, etc.), and, in general, anyone interested in aquaculture. Prior registration is required to attend.
