On the occasion of the upcoming celebration of World Oceans Day this Sunday, Campus do Mar, in collaboration with the Centro de Investigación Mariña (CIM) of the Universidade de Vigo, invites the public to mark this date with an outreach boat trip around the Ría de Vigo.
This initiative, supported by the Xunta de Galicia, aims to promote ocean literacy by enabling society to gain first-hand knowledge of the environmental, social, and scientific values of the marine environment.
The outings, which will take place on board the vessel Nautilus operated by Ocean Secrets, will last approximately one and a half hours. Three time slots are scheduled: from 12:00 to 13:30 hours, from 16:30 to 18:00 hours, and from 18:00 to 19:30 hours.
Participation is free of charge but requires prior registration, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Each interested person, whether adult or minor, must complete the form available on the Campus do Mar website. In the case of minors, it is essential that they be accompanied by an adult. Selected participants will receive a confirmation email with the meeting point details. The organizers kindly request punctuality, as the boat will depart at the scheduled time.
