On February 10, the prizes of the third edition of the Marie Tharp competition will be awarded under the auspices of the University of Vigo’s programming on the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science
The talent of the researchers at the Marine Research Center (CIM) of the University of Vigo shines with its own light. As part of the extensive programming organized by UVigo to commemorate 11F, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the CIM will celebrate one of its most special events: the awarding of the prizes of the second edition of the Marie Tharp competition.
The ceremony will take place on Monday, February 10, the eve of the 11th, at 1:00 p.m. in the new graduation hall of the Experimental Sciences building. This competition is aimed at pre- and postdoctoral female researchers at the center, who have been invited to tell about their work through a one-minute audiovisual piece. With this initiative, the CIM seeks to highlight the work of female researchers and promote female role models in marine science.
The research activity of the CIM is co-financed by the Xunta de Galicia and the European Union through the European Funds (ERDF).
