The center celebrates its open days with a science fair, guided tours and educational boat trips for all audiences.
The research staff of the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo (CIM) is returning to the streets to bring the marine research that is being carried out to the entire citizenry, in a fun way and suitable for all ages. On November 11 and 17, the center is organizing its Open Doors Days, an action co-financed by the Xunta de Galicia and the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund, to share the process of generating knowledge in research with society. With this type of initiative, the aim is to make marine science and the work of the CIM research staff known, in addition to generating scientific vocations in the children who participate with their families in these days.

If the weather permits, the CIM open days will begin on Saturday, November 11 with Embark with the CIM: an informative walk along the estuary in which participants, after prior registration, will be able to board a classroom-boat to sail between the Laxe pier and Toralla Island.
