The Pint of Science 2023 festival will fill bars with science and experiments on 22, 23 and 24 May
On 22, 23 and 24 May, the bars of 58 Spanish towns and cities will become improvised laboratories that will show the most recent advances in science in our country to all those interested.
More than 500 talks will be held simultaneously, divided into 300 events with free admission. In an understandable and accessible language, the most relevant researchers on the national scene will present their projects in fields as varied and different as Neuroscience, Astrophysics, Medicine, History, Supercomputing, Mathematics, Economics and Zoology.
In Vigo, the festival will take place at the Cañaveral bar (Porta del Sol, 6), which for 3 days will host experiments, live demonstrations, activities and prizes, making the talks even more enjoyable.
On behalf of the Centro de Investigación Mariña da Universisade de Vigo (CIM), researchers Paloma Morán and Daniel Rey, will participate in the Festival around the atlantic salmon and the Earth’s Magnetic Field. This year’s edition will also include speakers from other research centres of the university, such as atlanTTic and CINTECX, as well as other universities and entities of the scientific community, such as the Universidade do Minho (Portugal).
