The Environmental Physics Laboratory (Ephyslab) of the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo (CIM-UVigo) offers a pre-doctoral contract for the analysis of the impact of climate change on renewable energy installations.
General conditions

- Completion date: APRIL 2021
- Working hours: Full time.
- Salary approx.: €1275 gross/month prorated extra payments included
- Possibility of renewal: No
- Place of work: Grupo Ephyslab, Campus da Auga, Campus Ourense.
Requirements:
Applicants must meet the following requirements by the application deadline:
- Degree in Physics (specialization in the field subject to the contract will be valued).
- Knowledge of Python programming.
- Knowledge and research experience in renewable energies (solar and wind).
- Experience in studying the impact of climate change on renewable energies
- Experience in writing reports in the renewable energy sector: life cycle analysis, seasonal and sub-seasonal forecasting
- Experience in preparing consultancy reports.
- Experience in presenting results at international scientific conferences.
- Experience in management in the environmental and climate field will be valued.
Evaluation criteria:
- Professional experience (40%): Accredited professional experience in research in Earth Sciences
Training (30%): Training or specialization courses related to statistics, numerical modeling.
Interview (30%): The committee may call for an interview candidates who have passed a score of 25% in the Experience and Training sections.
