The GEA research group (Animal Ecology Group) of the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo offers a contract for a research technician in Evolutionary Ecology of Fish within the framework of the ED431F Excellence Project 2017/07 of the Grants of the Consolidation and Structuring of Competitive Research Units Program (Galician Regional Government).v
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Marine Sciences or Higher Technical Degree.
- Previous experience as a technician in the study of fish.
- Basic level of English.

Job description:
- Full-time contract (40 hours/week).
- Gross salary: 1100 euros/month.
- Contract duration: 7.5 months extendable (beginning 03/16/2020).
- Work center: Torre CACTI, Fonte das Abelleiras, s/n. University Campus of Vigo. 36310 Vigo (Pontevedra)
- Work to be carried out: Maintenance of aquarium systems (cleaning and caring for fish) and research support tasks (observation, video analysis, data management, etc.).
