The Environmental Analytical Chemistry and Toxicology research group, belonging to the Department of Analytical and Food Chemistry, and the Marine Research Center of the University of Vigo (CIM-UVigo), offers a predoctoral contract under the R&D&I project entitled: ‘Innovative analytical systems based on nanostructured receptors on (nano) cellulosic substrates for the detection of substances of environmental interest’ (Research Challenges Call, Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, Ref. RTI2018-093697-B-I00).
Contract conditions
- Type of contract: part-time (20 h/week)
- Duration: 6 months extendable
- Gross monthly salary approx.: €800
- Place of work: Faculty of Chemistry, Vigo Campus
Candidate requirements:
Hold a degree in Chemistry or other related qualifications. Possession of a Master’s degree and interest in pursuing PhD studies associated with this offer will be valued. Experience in spectroscopic analysis techniques, sample treatment, preparation and characterization of nanomaterials, analytical applications in the marine environment will also be valued.
Selection of candidates:
The selection committee, made up of three researchers from the group, will assess the merits presented by the applicants, according to the following criteria:
- Academic record (50%)
- Experience in the activities offered (30%)
- Other merits: 10%
- Interview: 10%
