This Thursday, November 14, Gianluca Mariño, researcher at the University of Vigo who focuses his studies on paleoceanography and paleoclimatology, will give the lecture «El calentamiento global: técnicas de estudio y predicción». In his talk, Mariño will introduce the concept of climate sensitivity using examples that show how it can be constrained through information provided by the geological record. This lecture is part of the Fórum of the Instituto de Estudos Vigueses 2019 (Fórum IEV 2019). The talk will take place in the Sala-Hemeroteca of the Escola Municipal de Artes e Oficios de Vigo (EMAO), C/ García Barbón nº5, at 19.30 h.
The Fórum IEV 2019, as previously mentioned on other occasions, is a lecture series organized by the Instituto de Estudos Vigueses, in collaboration with the University and the City Council of Vigo. It began in January and will continue until next December.
