The Environmental Physics Laboratory (Ephyslab, CIM-UVigo) is organizing this Friday, October 4, as part of the Naturgy Chair of the University of Vigo and in collaboration with the Fundación Universidade, a workshop on the new special report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), focused on oceans and the cryosphere, presented on September 25.
At the beginning of this workshop, the award for the best Master’s thesis in Sustainable Development Management 2019 will be presented. Next, Iñigo Losada (professor at the Departamento de Ciencias y Técnicas del Agua y del Medio Ambiente at the University of Cantabria and Director of the Instituto de Hidráulica Ambiental at the University of Cantabria), co-author of the report, will give the lecture “El informe del IPCC sobre Océanos y Criosfera (SROCC) y sus implicaciones sobre la gestión de la costa.” To conclude, there will be a round table consisting of Elena Ojea (Future Oceans Lab, CIM-UVigo) and Moncho Gómez Gesteira (Ephyslab, CIM-UVigo).
The event will take place in the Miralles Building, on the campus of the University of Vigo, between 10:30 and 13:30.
