Following the success of the previous edition, on July 5, 2019, the “II Curso de Introdución ás ferramentas bioinformáticas para investigación” will be held at ECIMAT, organized by the Bioinformatics Platform of the Santiago de Compostela Health Research Institute (IDIS) and taught by Jorge Amigo and Alberto Molares, bioinformatics technicians of the platform.
The course is primarily aimed at researchers in marine sciences who need to improve their skills in handling large biological databases and working with large volumes of data. The course will showcase the most commonly used and freely accessible bioinformatics tools for managing genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and other types of data.
The training activity, lasting 4 hours, is free for participants and will take place in the morning from 10:00 to 14:00. Capacity is limited to 15 students. Registrations will be open until July 2, 2019. To enroll, it is necessary to send an email with your name and current affiliation to amolares@hotmail.com, with the subject “Curso Bioinformática 2019”.
