The Coastal Ecology research group (EZ1) of the Department of Ecology and Animal Biology and the Applied Geotechnologies group of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering, offer a manager position within the project: “Improvement of the management, monitoring and maintenance of biodiversity in protected marine areas using low-cost automated geospatial techniques for the monitoring and mapping of intertidal habitats (ALGANAT2000)”, with the collaboration of the Biodiversity Foundation, of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, through the PLEAMAR Program, co-financed by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF).
Technical profile
- Preparation of content and documents for the project.
- Maintain dialogue with the institutions participating in the project.
- Provide support with logistics and dissemination of the project.
- Provide support in implementation and economic justification.
- Preparation of technical implementation reports.
- Attendance at project monitoring meetings.
- Prepare and organize training workshops.
Requirements
- Possess a graduate/licensed degree or equivalent in Science or Engineering.
- Experience in research project management
Evaluation criteria
- Curriculum vitae: 10 points.
- Work experience: up to 30 points.
- Previous experience in managing Biodiversity Foundation projects will be valued.
- The best rated candidates will undergo an interview.
Contract conditions
- Employment relationship: Research contract.
- Duration: 11 months.
- Expected date of incorporation: 03/01/2019.
- Working hours: Part-time.
- Place of work: Faculty of Marine Sciences, Campus of the University of Vigo.
- Gross monthly salary: around €1300.
