The Coastal Ecology research group (EZ1) of the Department of Ecology and Animal Biology and the Applied Geotechnologies group of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Engineering offer the following contract within the project: “Improvement of the management, monitoring and maintenance of biodiversity in protected marine areas through low-cost automated geospatial techniques for the monitoring and mapping of intertidal habitats (ALGANAT2000)”, with the collaboration of the Foundation Biodiversity, from the Ministry for Ecological Transition, through the PLEAMAR Program, co-financed by the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (FEMP).
Technical profile
- Experience in the design and implementation of field and laboratory experiments in the area of marine ecology or ecology.
- Management of different databases and data analysis.
- Publication of results in scientific journals.
- Knowledge of GIS and geospatial modeling.
Requirements
- Hold a Doctor of Science degree or equivalent.
- Experience in managing research projects.

Contract conditions
- Employment relationship: Research contract.
- Duration: 11 months
- Expected date of incorporation: 03/01/2019.

- Gross monthly salary: around €1800.
