On June 26, the “Adaptation Plan for the Spanish Marine Aquaculture Sector to Climate Change”, developed within the framework of the AQUADAPT project, will be presented. The event will take place at the Auditorium of the Ministry of Fisheries (Madrid) at 12:00. The event will also include a round table where several experts from the government, academia and the business sector will discuss climate change and aquaculture.
The project, led by Campus do Mar and funded by the Biodiversity Foundation, has the participation of scientists from the University of Vigo and the University of Santiago de Compostela, as well as the collaboration of the Galician Aquaculture Cluster (CETGA) and the Andalusian Aquaculture Technological Center (CTAQUA).
The main objective of AQUADAPT is to contribute to the adaptation of the Spanish marine aquaculture sector to the effects of climate change through the development of this Adaptation Plan for 2050, which will serve as a tool to support planning and management.
