On December 13 at 1:00 p.m., Mikko Heino, visiting professor at the University of Bergen and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) will present his work on conflict resolution between actors in the fisheries sector at the second seminar on fisheries, organized by the Future Oceans Lab, Campus do Mar and ECOBAS “Interdisciplinary Fisheries Seminar Series, IFS”.
The conference, entitled “Reconciling stakeholder conflicts in managing fish resources through integrating biological and socio-economic perspectives”, will discuss management options for the cod and capelin fisheries in Norway and how the seemingly conflicting objectives of different stakeholders can be reconciled.
