On November 28th, the Presentation Day of the AQUADAPT Project – Adaptation Plan for the Spanish Marine Aquaculture Sector to Climate Change will take place. The project, led by Campus do Mar and financed by the Biodiversity Foundation, has as its main objective to contribute to the adaptation of the Spanish marine aquaculture sector to the effects of climate change, through the development of a Climate Change Adaptation Plan for Marine Aquaculture in the 2050 horizon, which will serve as a tool to support planning and management. AQUADAPT has the participation of scientists from the University of Vigo, the University of Santiago de Compostela, as well as the collaboration of the Galician Aquaculture Cluster (CETGA) and the Andalusian Aquaculture Technology Center (CTAQUA).
The event, which will take place in Room 1 of the Miralles Building (Vigo University Campus) at 9:30 a.m., will include, in addition to the presentation of the project, a round table where several experts will debate about climate change and aquaculture, coinciding with the week of celebration of the “National Aquaculture Day”.
