Climate Adaptation to Shifting stocks

On June 1, Elena Ojea, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vigo and head of the “Future Oceans Lab” group, gave the lecture “Climate Adaptation to Shifting Stocks.”

During the talk, Elena Ojea presented the general framework of the project “CLOCK: Climate Adaptation to Shifting Stocks,” an ERC Starting Grant carried out within the Future Oceans Lab group at the University of Vigo. Its main objective is to demonstrate, through case studies, the implications of climate-driven species redistribution and how fisheries management can adapt to these changes.
Elena Ojea also presented a specific exercise developed in collaboration with the University of Santa Barbara, applied to a special network of marine reserves in the Channel Islands region.
