On February 2, Jose González, PhD in Oceanography from the University of Vigo and head of the Oceanography service at ECIMAT, presented part of his work developed with the Physical Oceanography group in the conference titled “Turbidity values at Ulla River: an approach for its prediction.” The research presented is part of the project “Supervisión, gestión y análisis mensual de los datos de turbidez y corrientes en el cauce del Río Ulla,” whose main objective was to study the variability of the Ulla River’s turbidity to understand which factors influence it and to take a further step toward predicting its variability. The work was supervised by Ramiro Varela and funded by the “Dirección General de Ferrocarriles del Ministerio de Fomento.”
