Between October 30 and November 4, 2011, the 14th edition of the Latin-American Congress of Marine Sciences, XIV COLACMAR, was held in the city of Balneário Camboriú, on the central-northern coast of the State of Santa Catarina, Brazil. The event was organized by the “Associação Latino-Americana de Pesquisadores em Ciências do Mar” (ALICMAR) and the “Associação Brasileira de Oceanografia” (AOCEANO). ECIMAT collaborated in the development of the following research works:
