Workshop on Marine Evolutionary Genomics and Proteomics (MEGP 2014)

MEGP 2014 Workshop will be held in Vigo (spain) between the 14th and the 16th of October 2014, it aims to introduce ecologists, marine biologists, geneticists and evolutionary biologists into the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data for population genetics analyses commonly used in the field of ecology and evolution, and also give the attendants a hands-on experience of such analyses.

The workshop will include 6 talks from the invited speakers and organisers and 6 practical sessions where the attendants will be assisted by the invited speakers in the analysis of different datasets.

It will take place at ECIMAT marine station and at the University of Vigo, both in Vigo (Spain), from 14-16 October 2014.

There are 30 available positions for the workshop and PhD students will be given priority over postdocs, lecturers and others, if necessary.

The APPLICATION DEADLINE is 15 September 2014 and the REGISTRATION FEES are 20 €.
